Anas To Screen Judicial Corruption Video Today; Dery Withdraws Injunction Application

Embattled investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas will premier his investigative video on judicial corruption as planned.

The video, titled Ghana in the Eyes of God: Epic of Injustice, will be screened at the Accra International Conference Centre today, Tuesday, September 22 at 4pm, and tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23 at 8pm.

Tickets are not being sold to the event. Some radio stations are giving them away, and Anas can be contacted on his Facebook page for tickets.

Justice Paul Dery, one of the high court judges implicated in the video, had sued to block the video from being shown to the public, arguing that to do so would prejudice the case against him. However, Dery’s attorneys withdrew their application for injunction this morning, leaving nothing to prevent it from being shown.

Dery still has an application for injunction against the Accra International Conference Centre seeking to restrain it from using its premises for the premiere, but that case isn’t scheduled to be heard until October 13, long after tonight’s premiere.
