Tarzan Joins Parliament In ‘The Legend of Tarzan’

The beloved tale of Tarzan, a British baby orphaned in the African jungle and raised by apes before being discovered and reintroduced into British society, has received a new treatment.  The latest movie, The Legend of Tarzan, stars Alexander Skarsgård, Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou and Christoph Waltz.

Many years after Tarzan left the jungles of Africa behind for a “better” life in London with wife Jane Porter, he has been invited to return to the Congo to serve as a trade representative for Parliament.

Known in London as John Clayton III and Lord Greystoke, Tarzan doesn’t know that he’s a pawn in a lethal convergence of greed and revenge. The mastermind behind the plot is a corrupt Belgian called Captain Rom.

The American action adventure movie was produced by David Yates, David Barron, Mike Richardson, Alan Riche and Jerry Weintraub. It’s set to be released in the US on July 1, 2016.
